House Build Part 10
If you would like to read house build parts 1-9 see here.
The last few weeks we have been flat out with our youngest having a small operation and school going on holidays, we barely had time to breath.
The house build has continued to progress, however the week of the 21st we had some issues arise.
Monday 23rd
The week began with waterproofing of the bathrooms being done. in preparation for tilers who will be in Mid October.
The brickies returned to install a brick foundation for the fireplace
Tuesday 24th
We received a phone call from the site supervisor the ensuite door is an internal sliding door and the builders had installed the wrong wall cavity. This meant the door didn’t open up fully, after talking with him he assured us they would replace the cavity.
Wednesday 25th
The long awaited installation of the fireplace, after some delay the fireplace crew came out and installed the unit.
End of the week
We didn’t attend the property or hear much more for the rest of the week. Thursday Daisy had her operation which had us preoccupied. Over the weekend our niece and nephew rocked up to spend the holidays with us.
Still on the list of many things to do
- Septic and other plumbing work.
- first coat of paint to be applied.
- Backfilling the trenches the electrical and plumbing have been laid in.
- Continue planting trees and gardens.
- Planning for 2 of the angus to head to the butcher.
- Planning on moving the Murray Greys to our homestead.
- Planning Honeys Paddock.
